Sunday School Information
Preschool 3's through 5th grade
We will be doing children's Sunday school differently this winter. We are making available a short recorded Sunday school lesson each week and have put together weekly packs of activities/crafts/coloring sheets for you to use at home. Each family can decide the best time to have "Sunday school" and all lessons will be made available on the church website to view anytime that month.
The weekly packs are available monthly for you to pick up from church from a clear tote on the covered porch nearest to the church mailbox. January packs are bagged and available now for pick- up at your convenience.
Middle School and High School
We are holding Sunday school virtually. Any needed materials will be distributed through emails from Anne Howard. Both groups will meet on Wednesdays, unless Ms. Anne has a previous commitment like the first week of Sunday school.
The mission of Christian Education at First Presbyterian church is to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ, providing opportunities for the formation of Christian relationships, and a forum in which adults and children can gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Christian in today's world. We strive to achieve these objectives by providing a dynamic set of learning opportunities for church members and visitors.
Some examples of events include:
All children entering the Kindergarten/1st Grade Sunday School class are given an age appropriate Bible and tote bag at the beginning of the Sunday School program year. As children learn to read, they also learn to appreciate the powerful resource and lessons that they have in their personal Bible. This gift is possible due to the Pat Kidder Memorial Fund. Bibles are also available to anyone of any age, by making a request to the Director of Christian Ed or church office.
