DC Trip

The Congregational Life Team is arranging a bus trip to Washington DC for Saturday, September 7th.  Final details are yet to be made but below is the tentative itinerary:

When:       Saturday, September 7th;  Rain or Shine!
Cost:          $30.00 per person
Depart:     8:00 am
Return:     8:00 pm
Bus:            Rill's 56 passenger Coach
Lunch:       On your own in the city
Dinner:     My favorite Chinese Restaurant in Rockville has closed, but I will find a place that can accommodate us at a reasonable price.

Registration and payment must be received by August 18, 2019

There will be two options for your day in DC.  
Both options will start with a self guided walking tour of Arlington National Cemetery 
and include a timed ticket to tour the Washington Monument if it has reopened by September 7th

1.  Travel with John Seaman as he has requests in with Congressman Jamie Raskin for  tours of:
     The Washington Monument (if it has been reopened by September 7th!, to include elevator to the top).
     The Capitol Building
     The Supreme Court Building
     The Library of Congress
     Various governmental museums as time permits

2.  Tour on your own and meet at the bus at the prescribed time and place.

We must guarantee 50 or more people on the trip to make it work.  Registration and payment to be arranged.
