We Are A Matthew 25 Church!What is a Matthew 25 Church?
Matthew 25:31 calls all of us to actively engage in the world around us, so our faith comes alive and we wake up to new possibilities. We are expected as followers of Jesus Christ to act boldly and compassionately see our neighbors through His eyes and serve those who are marginalized or in need -- people who are hungry, thirsty, naked, sick, imprisoned, strangers, poor or oppressed in other ways and in need of welcoming. This initiative has been a vision of the General Assemblies of PCUSA since 2018 and our Session has recently voted to become part of this vision! Guatemala Mission TripHis Mission, My Mission, Our MissionFPC is actively involved in God's mission work in Guatemala!
Mission is about what God does in our hearts. He works in us to work through us. It gives us gratitude for what we have and value to our talents. For a Christian, it is a way of life. In 1 Peter we are told to use whatever gifts we have received to serve others. God gave us gifts so we could use them to help Him bring others in to a relationship with Him. This link will take you to the 8/4/24 service, Unfortunately, there was no video feed for those watching on-line, so we have provided the visuals here! August 4, 2024 Sermon "His Mission, My Mission, Our Mission" Thank you for your support of our mission work in Guatemala! |
